• In the journal, Pediatrics, researchers from Dartmouth Medical School estimated more than 2.5 million children ages 10 to 14 watch a typical violent, R-rated movie.

• A 2007 survey in the journal Prevention Science found that the percentage of children who use alcohol doubles between grades four and six.
