As parents ourselves we can relate the many challenges we face raising our kids. We know that media is THE universal language of our time, core to our kids and their emerging pop culture, impacting preteens beliefs and values for life.

Our content, along with the entire iShine live (link) website will be expanding in the coming weeks and months and we invite you to regularly visit us and let others know of this unique resource. We don’t claim to be the sole provider of all of the essential answers to life or faith as it pertains to tweens, preteens or parents, but rather to give you a desperately needed starting point for your own reference and study.  A “safe haven” for your tween and you to enjoy and benefit from as you grow together in sharing and living out your faith as a family, church or community.

This portion of our website is designed to educate, inform and inspire today’s Pastor. In the future our content will be regularly updated and improved to help you in the day to day challenge of preteen family ministry and tween mentoring. We know the resource gap that exists today between children’s ministry and junior – senior high… and as we all grapple with the unprecedented technological advances that are shaping and twisting our youth, we want you to know… you’re not alone.

We must learn together how to effectively filter and refine the onslaught of teaching and values from our cultures superficial and entertainment based world view. Values that are introduced to today’s preteens are foundationally undermining the traditional Judeo-Christian beliefs of our traditional family values. These changes in adolescent identity, personal values, sexuality, morality and faith and are accelerating the decline in biblical beliefs and truth.  Today’s pre-teen regularly experience adult social issues prematurely and in un-guarded ways through technologies and with images that didn’t even exist a decade ago.

We encourage you to post comments and links to your perspectives on reaching this often overlooked generation. We are always looking for ways to provide media access and awareness to  other like minded ministries, websites, products, authors and or companies who like iShine, are seeking to make a positive contribution to the retention of family values. iShine continues to aggressively create and provide concerned “Parents and Pastors” with relevant and safe, tween specific media. Its going to take all of us pulling together in unity to make the kind of change that can alter the direction this generation chooses, as they are being so enormously influenced by the politically correct secular media.

We are engaged in a truth war for the hearts and minds of today’s tween, and we welcome your suggestions, ideas, encouragements and example testimonies of God’s faithfulness to meet this generation’s crisis of identity and faith.
